Stuff which I'm going to give to Colin Baker

So, today was the the day we’ve been waiting for and here’s how it went from when I arrived at the venue….

So, I got there and it was quite busy - full of little kids. Then, I went with my mum to the main desk to get a program and whilst we were there I asked the nice man at the desk would it be possible to give something to Colin Baker and he said, ‘Yeah sure do you want something signed?’ Then, I explained everything and he said yeah sure I would give it to the *insert fancy title here* and he would pass it on - then I asked If it was possible to give it to him personally and he said he wasn’t sure, he said I could wait for him at the stage door at the end but, he may or may not come out/I could be waiting for an hour. So, I said thanks for all your help, I’ll hang on to it for now and then wait by the stage door at the end and if he doesn’t appear I’ll come back here and give it to you !!

We got in our seats and waited for it to start - Then, a voice said ‘Welcome to the show, Nanny Nelly will be played by Joe Smith* (that’s the character that Colin plays - so I’m like :OOO and my mums like :000 and my sisters like o.O then, one of the cast members makes a joke about ‘I’m a celeb.’ - I just thought maybe that was a pre- recorded voice; …. It wasn’t :(

After checking Colins twitter, turns out he was battling illness and, it was all very last second …

So, the show ends and I quickly write another note in the book wishing him well etc. and I found the guy I originally spoke to at the desk and, he PROMISES to give it to him so yay !!!

Also, in the book I put my Twitter, This Tumblr, My normal tumblr and my email - and, I asked if he could possibly say thank you so that I can show all of you !!!

So, yeah that’s what happened! & It’s just our luck!!! xD

There were loads of little jokes about the jungle that the reserve had to say and even a tardis!

This will be the final post (apart from if he says thanks or anything) - I’ve enjoyed this so much and, though it wasn’t the ending I’ve been hoping for - I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO REBLOGGED THE ORIGINAL POST OR EVEN MADE THEIR OWN PROMOTING IT - Without you I wouldn’t have had the amazing response that I received!

Also, an obvious THANK YOU to all the people for their submissions - whether it was a FANTASTIC drawing or a heart warming message, I seriously can not put into words how much it has all meant! ~sob~

I’ve enjoyed running this blog immensely and will obviously leave it up and occasionally reblog a CB gift set so that if anybody might stumble across it they will be amazed and outstanded:)

Dear Colin,

This is probably one of the hardest things to do; try to say everything I want to say in one letter. You’re amazing. I’ve long admired you, especially as the Sixth Doctor, which will always be one of my favourite incarnations. The personality you brought to the role was fantastic. Knowledgeable, interesting, fun and stylish (I for one adore the coat and the umbrella). Those traits, and more, made you so fascinatingly enthralling to watch as the Doctor. Just utterly amazing.

I’m so glad I have the opportunity to write to you and tell you just how much I admire you. Not just as the Doctor, as a person too. Someone who keeps going through the bad, who can inspire and who is just generally kind and lovely.

Thank you so much for everything, and for reading this.

So it’s the interval and I can’t believe that Colin’s got a sore throat and isn’t here, man that sucks :(

The book will get to him though, it’s just a shame I can’t give it to him personally
